Infographic: Smartphone App Numbers

[X]cube Labs has put together an interesting infogrpahic looking at Smarthpone apps across platforms, and how they perform in terms of number of apps, downloads per day, developer revenue share, submission fees, etc.

The graphic should not only be of interest to developers, but to business owners looking to boost their mobile presence. Last week, Google released results from a study, finding 9 out of 10 smartphone users use their devices throughout the day for a variety of activities.

A lot of businesses can find value in creating their own apps, but popular apps already provide a great deal of opportunities. It’s all about how your target audience is using their device, what apps they’re using, and what they’re using them for. One of the best things you can do to boost your mobile presence in a meaningful way is to find apps that people are already using, and find ways to engage with your customers, or at least increase your visibility through these apps.
